		<description>Education is very often used in the same way against the people. Despite being one of the few actual tasks I would charge government with, school funding is always one of the first things on the chopping block, likely because it is also one of the most potent things to dangle in front of people when trying to sway them into accepting higher taxes. If we were to cut less useful, less polarizing programs first, the public as a whole would never agree to most of the tax increases government wants to impose.
